Vision and Mission

Vision

The primary vision of Mannur Grama Panchayat is to elevate the panchayat to heights of physical and social development. This includes:

  • Sustainable Development: Implementing eco-friendly and long-term development projects.

  • Self-Reliance: Making the panchayat economically self-reliant by giving priority to the agricultural sector and local employment opportunities.

  • Quality Living Conditions: Improving the standard of living of the people through clean drinking water, better roads, and efficient waste management.

Mission

To transform these visions into reality, the panchayat undertakes the following missions:

  • Agricultural Progress: Promoting traditional farming practices while bringing modern technologies to farmers. Protecting paddy cultivation and other livelihoods.

  • Social Welfare and Equality: Providing houses for the homeless through schemes like Life Mission, and ensuring the welfare of the elderly, women, children, and marginalized communities.

  • Health and Education: Upgrading the standards of primary health centers and providing excellent physical infrastructure in public schools.

  • Transparent Governance: Ensuring corruption-free and transparent governance by securing public participation through people's planning (Janakeeyasoothranam). Making the panchayat plastic-free by strengthening the activities of the Haritha Karma Sena.

Note: Although minor changes may occur in projects based on annual budgets and the priorities of new governing bodies, the fundamental goal of Mannur Panchayat remains comprehensive local development.
